Conkote was pleased to participate in SAWC Spring 2026, where we had the opportunity to connect with a wide range of healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and wound care specialists.

Throughout the event, our team engaged in in-depth conversations around wound management practices, product selection, and everyday clinical challenges. These exchanges provided valuable insights into how wound care is evolving across different care settings.

Engaging with the Wound Care Community

One of the most valuable aspects of the exhibition was the opportunity to meet clinicians face-to-face and exchange practical perspectives on wound care.

At our booth, discussions often centered on real-world scenarios—how products perform in daily use, how clinicians balance effectiveness with patient comfort, and how they adapt to different wound types.

We were also encouraged to meet healthcare professionals who had previously used Conkote products and shared positive feedback regarding their clinical performance and usability. This real-world validation reinforces our focus on delivering reliable and practical solutions.

Product Interest Reflecting Clinical Priorities

Rather than focusing on individual products, conversations at the booth consistently pointed to broader clinical priorities.

Clinicians showed strong interest in solutions that support effective exudate management, atraumatic dressing changes, and reliable performance in complex wounds. Materials such as alginate, silver-based components, and silicone technologies were frequently mentioned in the context of managing challenging wound environments while maintaining patient comfort.

At the same time, essential supportive products—such as fixation and protection solutions—remain an integral part of everyday care, highlighting the importance of a balanced and practical product portfolio.

In the personal care segment, hydrocolloid-based applications were also discussed, reflecting their continued relevance in minor wound management.

Insights from the Field

The conversations at SAWC Spring 2026 revealed several consistent themes shaping today’s wound care landscape.

In addition to general treatment needs, clinicians highlighted challenges in managing complex wound types, particularly tunneling wounds and wounds with high levels of exudate. These cases often require solutions that can provide adequate absorption, support cavity management, and maintain a stable healing environment.

More broadly, we observed:

  • A growing demand for advanced exudate management solutions
  • Continued emphasis on patient comfort and atraumatic removal
  • Increasing attention to products suitable for complex wound conditions
  • Strong interest in clinically reliable yet accessible alternatives

These insights reflect a shift toward more practical, performance-driven decision-making in wound care.

Contributing to Clinical Exchange

In addition to booth interactions, Conkote was proud to contribute to the scientific program at SAWC Spring 2026 with five accepted abstracts, presented at the Poster Hall.

These abstracts, developed in collaboration with clinicians, focused on real-world wound management—particularly in complex diabetic foot ulcers—highlighting approaches to moisture balance optimization, infection control, slough reduction, and periwound protection.

Key Topics Presented

Dr. Khaerul Azmi

  • Hydrophilic fiber and hydrocolloid dressings for reducing slough and improving periwound integrity
  • Silicone foam dressings for optimizing moisture balance in complex plantar diabetic foot wounds
  • Combined use of silver alginate and hydrocolloid dressings in managing infected diabetic foot ulcers

Dr. Octo Zulkarnain

  • Use of silver alginate and silver foam dressings for infection control and moisture management
  • Combination of silver hydrogel and hydrocolloid dressings to support wound area reduction

We extend our sincere thanks to Dr. Khaerul Azmi and Dr. Octo Zulkarnain for their valuable contributions and collaboration.

These studies reflect a growing clinical focus on combination dressing strategies and tailored approaches for complex wounds, reinforcing the importance of practical, evidence-informed care.

Looking Ahead

Our experience at SAWC Spring 2026 reaffirmed the importance of staying closely connected with clinical practice.

By listening to healthcare professionals and understanding real-world challenges, we continue to refine our approach to product development and clinical support.

We look forward to building on these conversations and supporting better wound care outcomes through reliable, clinically grounded solutions.
